Village Amenities

 

Alerted to the fact that the aim of Village Plans is to hand over much of the control and decision making for village spending to local residents, Beare Green residents began to compare the amenities available to them with those enjoyed by the nearby villages of Capel and Newdigate. The table below lists the results of those comparisons. This led many to question why Beare Green, despite having more residents and households than the other two villages, should have comparatively fewer local ameneties. The desire to formulate and implement a Village Plan was, thus, firmly set in motion.
